Rajapur Gonda is an famous ancient religious place located in Paraspur Vikaskhand of Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, India. This historical land is the birthplace of great Indian poet and the author of Shree Ramcharitmanas. There are many evidence are also presented here, today.
Tulsidham temple, Tulsi Theater, Tulsi Bhawan, Tulsi Koop, Tulsi Manas Mandir, are the main places to visit. There is also ashram of Saint Narharidas, guru of Tulsidas is situated here. Also, every year a mela is orgainised in Rajapur. Which is known as Paska Mela. In Paska Mela (Fair), thousands of people come to visit Rajapur, Gonda.
Tulsidas wrote several popular works in Sanskrit and Awadhi; he is best known as the author of the epic Ramcharitmanas, a retelling of the Sanskrit Ramayana based on Lord Rama‘s life in the vernacular Awadhi dialect of Hindi.
